A doting father to his illegitimate daughters, Ava and Catherine. He gave up his title, marriage and unborn child for the love of his mistress, Annette Carmichael, Lady of Wilshire when her scandalous pregnancy was found.

At first duty and honor to his noble blood line prevented him from agreeing to the terms set forth that he take the second passage on the ship with his mistress. Three years later his current wife birthed twins, a boy, Joseph and a girl Michelle, yet as much as he loves his youngest children, Charles heart is still incomplete without the girls that he had raised since Annette's death fourteen years prior while in labor with their son, Samuel Morgan who passed a short week after his birth.
